Additional Machine Details:

Can be seen in Denmark D. DC-645 - Cutter/Creaser “Production Colour Finisher” The DC-645 is a product created to perform the most commonly required finishing operations on digital colour prints. It performs cutting and creasing operations in one single pass, plus in addition it has the unique Duplo feature of being able to automatically adjust and compensate for image drift which is typical of most digital colour presses. Options Business card module The DC-645 features six rotary slitters that can be programmed to move independently to the desired position to trim margin around the sheet, cut and form gutters between multiple pieces on the sheet. The waste falls into a bin inside the machine. Six slitters is sufficient for cutting (say) 25 business cards from a sheet of SRA3, but only when the design of card allows for a single cut between. There are alternative impositions that enable cutting of 18 cards from a sheet, but more commonly where more cards are imposed, or where very high levels of accuracy are required, then a dedicated module with ten slitters can process such sheets more accurately and efficiently. These are in the following sizes and slot into a position at the end of the machine: •50mm •50.8mm (2”) •52mm •54mm •55mm Businesscard module 54 mm Perforator module With this optional module, you can finish slit/cut/crease and now perforate in one pass. This further improves productivity and makes the DC-645 an even more attractive proposition. Like the Business Card Module, the unit fits into the option area of the DC-645 and is replaceable by the operator. This unit possesses two perforating wheels that automatically position themselves according to instructions in the job programme. The Perforation Module works with the image shift compensation using the Duplo register mark. When not being used, the tools retract out of the way of the sheet being processed, removing the need for the operator to fit and disconnect the module. Applications include tear-off vouchers and coupons; stubs for forms, pads and calendars; CD inlays. Form is fixed at 15 teeth per inch. Rotary Score module Creases are made across the sheet direction by a male and female matrix rule that crushes the fibres in a neat regular line. However; there are applications where the most efficient imposition is to place the items on the sheet where the fold line will be in the lengthways direction of movement of the sheet (such as 2 x A5 booklet covers, or greetings cards, or 3 x CD pages on a large sheet). This modules contains two This allows one sheet to be processed in a single pass instead of two passes that can triple production time. The unit possesses two pairs of wheels that automatically position themselves according to instructions in the job programme. The module works with the image shift compensation using the Duplo register mark. When not being used, the tools retract out of the way of the sheet being processed, removing the need for the operator to fit and disconnect the module. Operator control stand The DC-645 is delivered with software for running on PC or Mac that makes it easier for even untrained staff to programme the machine with new jobs, edit, load and save. Rather than utilise a nearby desk, a more user-friendly arrangement is to add this purpose-built stand which fits into the DC-645 and supports a computer, monitor, mouse & keyboard while occupying minimal floor space. JDF connector JDF stands for ‘Job Definition Format’. It is a standard developed by the CIP4 group of companies that describes every aspect of a print job in the form of an electronic ‘ticket’ from origination to finishing. The ticket is read by a device which then uses the information to set-up. To enable support for JDF, a product must have some form of computer with which to talk to other computers in the print shop over a network. Within this computer runs some software that is capable of: •Reading the Job Ticket •Translating the in
