The CutStar 106 with new design, new operation panel and extended format width up to 1060mm for the processing of short grain paper is divided into two main functional groups: the stationary reel stand and the cutting unit with the shingling device which is driven offline to the drive side of the machine during press operation in palletized mode.

The stationary reel stand includes the supporting arms with brake motor and core chucks, the rigid sheet decurler, paper storage via dancer rollers and the new operation panel with revised user interface.
The web infeed in the cutting unit happens via infeed an roller which is located in front of the rotating knife. The respective sheet size can be infinitely adjusted at the knife unit. Behind the rotating knife there is the revised sheet transfer with the shingling device and subsequent stop rollers. The sheet transfer from the cutting unit up to the feeder happens via suction and transportation belts. The operation of the suction air for the sheet transfer, shingling unit and the pressure of the stop rollers happens via operation panels which are incorporated in the new door design. The connection to the machine (feeder) happens via a hinged transportation table.
Rolls alignment aid; device for axially parallel alignment of the material roll in relation to the clamping brackets. Antistatic device, Advanced; four antistatic bars in the reel stand with power supply unit and two antistatic brushes between shingling device and stop rollers as well as ionized blast air with 13 unloading nozzles at the shingling device, control unit and blast-air supply adjustable via potentiometer.

Power supply; power supply at ground level (via drag chain)

Foil package, with automatical tension force reduction at the core chuck, cork covering for the rollers in the area of the reel stand as well as grooved press roll.
